Anneta Naidoo, MSc (Virology)
Research Technologist III
Anneta leads both mucosal and molecular studies at CHIL. She joined CHIL in October 2014 as a Research Technologist and worked on the mucosal infectivity assay and other assays for HVTN 116. In an effort to improve the understanding of innate immune responses to vaccination, Anneta’s scope of work uses techniques such as RNA-sequencing and Serum Cytokine Profiling in HIV and TB Vaccine trials.
Anneta pursued two years of postgraduate training at the National University of Singapore (NUS). She completed a Masters in Medical Science (Virology) in 2008 from the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN). Anneta worked as a medical scientist for the Department of Virology at the National Health Laboratory Services (NHLS) in Durban from 2008-2011 where her projects focused mainly on HIV antiviral assays and molecular studies.
