Sharon Khuzwayo, Ph.D. (Immunology)

Biomarker Scientist

Dr. Khuzwayo joins us from Africa Health Research Institute (AHRI) where she obtained her PhD in Immunology from the University of KwaZulu Natal. She has worked at University of KwaZulu-Natal and KwaZulu-Natal Research Institute for Tuberculosis and HIV (K-RITH).   She is responsible for highly advanced flow cytometry and other data analysis for clinical studies. As part of the biomarker team, she designs experiments, analyzes flow cytometry data and assists with troubleshooting as required, ensuring that laboratory clinical assays meet appropriate quality level standards.
